DDCOMM Kahterine, AD Oversee

Hi I’m Kath and get ready with me! I was krazii once. But before anything else – let me put on my sunscreen first. Yes, I’m currently living in a tropical country so it’s a must (not gatekeeping the asian secret to looking young). Been using the Biore UV Watery Gel which already has SPF 50+ since like 2016, just shows how loyal I am, definitely one of my personal skin care recommendations! And oh, this introduction is sponsored by the Office of Public Affairs. So if you are E4+ you are very qualified to join us today!
In real life, I’m currently at my quarter life crisis – wondering when I am ever going to get a birkin. Other than that, I love monkeys, I enjoy dressing up, taking photos & videos – you can basically imagine me as one of those girlies who’d make an effort to go out just to try a cute new cafe and even take public OOTD videos. At the same time, My personal goals are  becoming an American housewife & achieving an underconsumption core lifestyle – so like and follow for Part 2! On Habbo, I’ve been playing since 2009 – have been part of multiple agencies before finally settling in USDF — which I now consider my virtual retirement home, my go-to place. I super appreciate you people for the core memories and making this community very enjoyable!

XO COMM S1LAS, Team Leader

My name is Silas and I have been with USDF since July this year!
I work full time at USDF putting many hours and sweat each day and night. Have been absolutely loving the progress from learning and meeting so many friendly faces around HQ. The first office I joined was OPA and have been here since. I was OPA HNCO for September and now have progressed to XO COMM! The feeling of accomplishment when each PAQCling graduates with their golden cap is priceless.

My current goal now is to host 1,000 trainings and one day be AD of OPA 😀 Outside of Habbo, I photograph people for a living on their best day of their lives.. as a wedding photographer Based in Melbourne, Australia. My favorite holiday destinations are Japan and Thailand. I love to eat food and take photos of scenic places !

If I had to put my schedule outline- it would look like this:
Monday – Friday sometimes

8am: Wake up, eat breakfast, 10am: Start my shift at USDF , or bulge in AFK while doing work behind the scenes, 12pm: Lunch and Hey Tea Mango Smoothie , 3pm: Vape Break, 5pm: Back to work at HQ , host FEATs, fill HQ positions, 3AM: Head to bed and sleep
& Repeat

Weekends
– Work all day, work all night, Midnight: check HQ and work a shift or two or do something to contribute, 3am: Sleep & Repeat

OPA HNCO Melissa223, Assistant Team Leader

Hey there, I’m Mel(issa)! Come get ready with me… As young as girly childhood, Habbo was and is my gamer title!! A re-discovery in adulthood now from August this year, I am a growing member of OPA and the Marines, with recently joining the Marines council and being your HNCO friend!
I hope to accomplish all I can with USDFs coolest chain of command.

For me, it is the experience of learning, having fun and applauding each other’s success! With being your ATL for le writing, you can come to me with all your fun ideas, interesting questions and even for friendly and open conversations. As a Capricorn, Google will tell you more about my leadership expectations.. bossy-ish with sprinkles of love! :sparkling_heart: I love to dress up, do skin care, smell good and feel like a flourished flower on a daily basis (ofc with some unavoidable grotty lazy days)

In the real world, it is busy, busy, busy. Surprisingly managing between constant gallery shifts, short art courses, and ofc daily therapeutic chores. Lastly, feet up with Habbo (thanks to our good friend caffeine) With being based in the UK, London, you will find that me and S1LAS’s moons do not align.

Together we are your writing/graphics partners at any given moment!

Weekdays – fast replier in evenings but always active throughout the day (depending on schedule) everyday is different!

Weekends – same as above <333333

Guys, the past week has literally been so crazy! I am still trying to absorb and wrap everything that has happened but here’s the big news — yes, we officially turned 20!

It feels like just yesterday, when USDF was celebrating its 18th year, and now here we are, 2 years older, time flies so fast. For this year’s anniversary event, OPA Command has prepared so many exciting activities. Not really kidding when I said ‘so many’ as there was a full line up prepared, which got me curious about what everyone was looking forward to the most. So, I decided to ask around! Here’s what I got:

CDR MaximumGenie
Definitely the Senior Command Podcast! This was an idea in the works when I was still DSP&C, and I’m very happy to see it to fruition and coming out as a huge success. Though I couldn’t be there unfortunately due to time constraints, it was a fantastic idea to meet and hear my peers in the podcast, some of them for the very first time. It does give you a better sense of “getting to know” them, the person behind the pixel, and it was very interesting to watch the playback of it! I hope we do more of these in the future :]

MSG NorseFrey
I say the parade because I always enjoy seeing people get promoted and recognized for their work in such a formal way. There is always multiple people who get awarded with medals and achievements and such for their dedication to USDF. Not to mention the parade is where all of us and our friends can gather and recognize and congratulate each other its fellowship and afterall isnt that what USDF is about?

2LT Astraeus_NL
USDF Museum
: Even before experiencing it, I already knew that a huge amount of time and effort would have gone into it. I was really excited about learning more about our past, since I’ve only been in active duty for a short while. I was wondering what would be included in the museum and I wasn’t disappointed after getting a tour of the place. Thank you for making it possible!

CW4 Bruinblue
There were two that I was looking forward to the most, the JDT Performance (because I was the Guide for that), and the USDF Museum! The Museum was extremely well constructed and it was very interesting getting to see how USDF has changed through the years! I honestly wish it would be available forever for others to be able to walk through and learn about USDF!

WO1 Softbal
I was looking forward to visiting the USDF Museum. I had never joined an agency before, so I didn’t know how the USDF looked in the past. I also became interested in the history of the USDF and how it was established.

GySgt .maria
When the events were announced, I have to admit I was especially excited about the Ceremonial Parade! I’m really looking forward to participating, and since it’s my first time, I’m not exactly sure what to expect, but I’m full of anticipation!

Capt Star.Leah15
Oh! The Key Member Podcast. I was really looking forward to hearing from the group of people who don’t come around very often but are so knowledgeable and have such a love for USDF!

As you can see, everyone has their own excitement, but of course we can’t leave out a special shout out to the other OPAmazing events – the Flipbook, the Skit and the Carnival! It has been an eventful week, and these all would have been possible without all your amazing support. USDF thanks YOU for being part of this unforgettable celebration, and here’s to even more exciting core memories ahead. TO 20 MORE YEARS!

Hey, excuse me! I love your outfit! Outside USDF – what do you do for a living?

CCM Docotrevilma
I am currently a 4th year med student who is in orthopaedics and emergency posting.

Where do you see yourself in the future? Are there any specific positions you can gain as a med student?
Honestly, I am leaning towards emergency medicine because I love the adrenaline rush when the paramedics bring in someone unconscious and you literally have minutes to figure out what’s going on. We will never know what will expect us through those doors and that is absolutely what I signed up for. I could never imagine doing any other specialities.

SSgt T1nyTul1p
I’m a receptionist in a hotel.

Do you have any suggestions for other USDF personnel who may face similar situations in the workplace?
Never tell them to stay calm, they will get more frustrated from that and more mad, always let them speak and be as friendly as possible as it is your job.

CW3 LeftenantSpock
I work at a fast food restaurant called McDonald’s in the UK and I’ve been doing that for almost 10 years since 2015.

How do you think what you learned can be applicable even outside of the restaurant market, or even by the USDF personnel themselves here, if you have any suggestions you want to give us?
Everything seems so virtual, you tend to forget there are real people behind those avatars we all play. All from different kinds of countries, backgrounds, religions and ethnicities. All with different likes and dislikes, different sports teams, different education.
Working in OJFD for many years allowed me to understand more from the trainee’s point of view. It’s not about what they can do for us but what WE can do for them.

1LT Hamyroww
So this is a bit of a weird mix but!
I am a paramedic in my home country (France) but I also am an artist manager/musician in a band/student in the UK.

Do you have any suggestions for our personnel currently unsure of what to do in both their life and at the USDF?
I think it’s important to know that – both for IRL and USDF – it’s ok to have no idea of where you’re going or what you want to do with your life. As long as you stay open to opportunities, and you keep experiencing new things, you’ll be okay.  We have enough problems and worries in our everyday life already, so if we want to stand on the top from day 1 then there’s nothing else to look forward to. When everything starts to make sense that’s when you know it was all worth it, so just keep going!

SMA RoggieBear
I’m in my second year of college studying psychology and statistics! I also am an RA at my college dorm, which is basically like a leader of my floor.

Is there anything that you have learned in your studies, that you currently apply to daily USDF operations and can give as advice to our personnel?
I mean, the biggest thing I’ve learned specifically from research is how important communication is. Another thing is to keep trying, and never give up. Even if a study doesn’t go the way you expect, you can always look into it further to figure out why it happened, and if factors can be changed to get an expected result. By persisting and trying more things, people will learn more and be more successful.

LCDR :Ethereal
I work as a teacher in an academy. I have students from many different ages, the youngest students are 5 years old and the oldest student is 25. I help them with what they are studying at school, or with official exams some are preparing for.

You represent education being an OJFD AD, even at the USDF. Is there anything you wish to tell our personnel as an educator both in real life and at the USDF?
Trying new things, experimenting and learning are great experiences, so do not fear to do them. However, if you know what you like and what you wish to achieve, work hard, try your best and do not give up. Hard work and perseverance eventually pay off. But even more importantly, have fun and enjoy your time as much as you can. In the end, that is why you’re on Habbo and USDF.

CWO5 ,-rom4n
I am a Chemical Engineering student in university! Most of my days involve just going to class and being in a lab, as I’m also a research assistant on campus for a chemistry lab.

How have you managed USDF on top of all of this?
It really comes down to discipline for me. Sure, it can be challenging to juggle everything, but I take it upon myself to handle the responsibilities I’ve chosen. Plus, being part of the USDF is, honestly, just fun. Most of what I do here doesn’t feel like work—I genuinely enjoy it and look forward to it each day. The variety also keeps things interesting; no two days are ever the same, so there’s never any monotony.

Come spend the day with MSgt Ghello as an OJSIG Member! A decorated Inspector General, he shares his journey, his motivations, and daily experiences that define his role in the USDF. With a background steeped in justice, order, and education, Ghello opens up to us about what drew him to the OJSIG life, including the daily challenges he faces, and the initiatives he’s most excited about.

MSgt Ghello recalls his journey to the OJSIG with a blend of nostalgia and determination. “I was already set on joining the OJSIG before I enlisted at USDF,” he begins, speaking with a sense of certainty that is unmistakable. “I had always been passionate about justice, order, and education. I held a deep respect for the office and knew this was where I wanted to be.” The path wasn’t entirely smooth, he elaborates that, “Initially, I wasn’t sure if my rank and brief time at USDF would be enough to join the office, but my ex-career counselor gave me that final push to go for it.” Ghello’s story is one of resilience, as he encourages others not to fear rejection, reminding them that rejection is the status quo until they take the leap.

Veterans Day (once known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States, celebrated on November 11th. A memorable date known for honoring the military veterans of the ‘United States Armed Forces’, also known as ‘The Military’.When researching this, I found some can be confused with ‘Memorial Day’ in May, which honors the fallen while in military service.

Veterans Day means more than most people realize! The soldier shouting ‘Yes Drill Sergeant!’ may actually become a successful Drill Sergeant themselves, or a Culinary Specialist may leave service to work in a restaurant and maybe even have one of their own one day.By celebrating Veterans Day, we hope to show all these brave men and women our appreciation for their continuing and previous service to their people and their country. If you ever find yourself free one day on the 11th November, please consider taking some time to visit and honor those if nearby. But if not, please consider taking part in the 2 minute silence in respect.

I am pleased to announce that I have invited our very own Habbo USDF NSC Veteran, General of the Armies, CheesyRyan! He is also celebrating his enlistment month in Habbo USDF. We cannot thank him enough for the dedication and commitment he has brought to us, since first joining on the 6th November 2017. We have some enlightening answers he has to share with you!

Q: What do you remember about the day you enlisted into USDF?
A: It was a funny story, I just returned after a long break and was not expecting to return to any agencies/militaries. Was just on Habbo where I came across USDF being one of the top on the navigator and thought why not give it a visit and see what it is about. Having no experience on the military side of things on Habbo, I decided why not give USDF a shot. Since then, I have had many memorable moments and ended up having a really great time. I then had so many leadership opportunities which made the experience special. I stayed for the amazing community and people I met along the way. Therefore, here I am today.

Q: What was the first branch you joined and why?
A: When I first enlisted in the USDF, I vividly remembered joining the Navy. One piece has always been my favourite anime, the sea and ships from that series kind of resonated with me, hence the Navy branch naturally came to me as the first choice. My time in the Navy has been very rewarding and personal growth, I got to know my peers and worked alongside them as we advanced through the ranks together. I thank the Navy for the guidance I needed as an NCO back then, with many moments I cherished.

Q: What was your first Office you joined and why?
A: OJFD was my very first office. I felt that the office is more than just hosting trainings, but a more rewarding opportunity to be able to host all if not the majority of the training in USDF. Being part of an educational office and having to lead many training sessions for NCOs and even WOs has been enjoyable. As an OJFD member I am the one responsible for translating information to help personnel grow and progress. Knowing  that I can make an impact on personnel’s progress has been meaningful.

Q: What is your most memorable experience so far?
A: Without a doubt, the most memorable experience for me so far in USDF has to be when the Marines won Branch Wars 2021. As the CMC then, it was an absolutely proud moment for Marines, where weeks and months of hard work, commitment, teamwork and dedication have put us through an amazing journey and experience. Everyone came together and united as a branch, the encouragement by every Marine personnel has been motivating and touching at that point. As the CMC, it was an unforgettable experience because it was a time that brought everyone together and with a great sense of pride.

Q: Would you like to share anything with the viewers?
A: I would like to say – Enjoy what you do because when you find joy in something you like it will not feel like an obligation or chore. Motivation will come naturally for you when you are doing what you enjoy, and you will be able to grow from it. Go chase your goals, bring yourself to do something you like and put your utmost dedication to it, because success will follow through.

Black Friday — the shopping event of the year that everyone eagerly anticipates or even plans for months in advance). Whether you’re a seasoned Black Friday pro or a newbie looking to dive into the chaos, it’s always a whirlwind of great deals, doorbusters, and a little bit of adrenaline! So, what exactly is Black Friday, what can you expect, and how do you make the most of it? Let’s break it down!

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is on the 29th of November, day after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and it marks the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season. It is traditionally a day of massive sales across stores, both physical and online. The name “Black Friday,” historically comes from the concept of many retailers operating from a loss (red), to making a profit (black), thanks to the huge sales and demand for discounts.

What to Expect?

Massive Discounts: Expect significant price cuts on almost everything! Electronics, fashion, home goods, beauty products, gadgets — retailers go all-out on offering limited-time offers.

Doorbusters: These are super-low-priced deals, offered early in the morning or even the night before. They’re designed to draw crowds into the store (or onto their website). Keep in mind: they’re often limited in quantity, so it’s first-come, first-served!

A big thank you to The Marines Devil Dogs! Again, with a seminar filled with engaging ‘productivity hacks.’ Major Deroy, SWOAMC CWO5 Aiden and CWO5 PrefireStar, taught a grass 101 unforgettable class! Discussing ways to improve and maintain your personal wellness. Devil Dogs seminar was a focused, lighthearted, well-behaved and joyful atmosphere with firing contributions of productivity suggestions from the students! Did you know that “a well-rested soldier is an effective soldier.” Major Deroy quotes. Some interesting notes for you to take now: (take notes!)

– Nutrition, exercise, mental wellness, less stress (deep-breathing, stay calm), social engagement
– “It’s all like giving your mental health a superpower!”
– Eating a diverse nature of food, protein sources, and fats, vitamins, suitable calories
– Meal prepping
– Water intake helps improve your physical, mental and emotional health.
Dr. Mark Hyman: “If exercise could be put in a pill, it would be the biggest blockbuster medication of all time.”
– 7-9 hours SLEEP – keep room cool, dark and quiet!
– Invest in a comfy pillow and blanket
– Unwind with a book, mediation or light stretching before bed
– Avoid heavy meals before bed — feel refreshed!

As USDF grinding soldiers we are all here to support each other but do please remember that as humans, we need to always ensure we are looking after ourselves and connecting with the real world like speaking to a friend, exercising, drinking water and… touching grass! Nature is truly our bestfriend. An important reminder to take at least 20 minute breaks from your screen time on Habbo. We may be fun and productive gamers but let us not forget, as the Marines Devil Dogs advises us, that we need to take up more hobbies, stretch daily with most importantly having reality checks. A happy life means looking after our mental and physical health, with a balance of real life and the game! PUT HEALTH FIRST!

The Beach Relay Event, organised by the Army Branch Command and Events Division, brought an exciting and competitive atmosphere to the beach. Teams lined up, with one player stationed on a donut at the start, and lanes were assigned by numbers at the back of each queue to ensure fair play. The goal of the event was simple: each team had to navigate through a series of obstacles to reach the end of the beach, with the aim of getting the entire team across the finish line first.

The event featured three unique stages, each adding its own twist to the challenge:
Stage 1 – Red Light, Green Light: Inspired by the popular “Squid Game” series, players had to move when the light was green and freeze when it turned red, avoiding penalties for any movement during the red phase.

Stage 2 – Pool Attack: Contestants had to navigate through a series of big pools, making their way forward without getting hit by hit or the stage would reset. THIS WAS HARD since the pools were so big!

Stage 3 – Make Your Decision: The final stage allowed teams to choose whether to bypass the switch or switch and reset another lane’s progress – potentially shifting the balance of the game.

Congratulations to the winners in Lane 1, consisting of players:
Hamyroww, Aiden404-1, rom4n, .Bulletproof, and StreetArmy16

They emerged victorious after mastering the obstacles and strategic gameplay.

The event was a thrilling display of teamwork, strategy, and agility, and brought participants together for an unforgettable challenge.

We did round two afterwards for fun in which Lane 1 also took it home with ease.

Thank you to the Army Branch Command and Events Division!
